  • "Conservative" is a Southern euphemism for racist. People like Rufus3 were Democrats up until the Civil Rights Act of 1964. They do serve a purpose, however. Without them, Jeff Foxworthy would have no material.

  • Perhaps it depends on what one considers rudeness. Personally, I find nothing as rude as being kept waiting for an appointment. I have found that far more common in small towns than big cities. I have no problem at all with New Yorkers, who are simply busy.

  • cogito, I thought the same until I was asked to teach something in which I was expert. It is an art. I'm not saying that it requires any special abilities, but it must be learned. I didn't like it at all.
